KUALA LUMPUR- Raub Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Dr Seri Ng Yen Yen said it is mere speculation that her name is not in the list of MCA candidates for the coming General Election.
The MCA vice president said it was only a rumour and a political game played by irresponsible individuals when questioned by reporters during the Malaysia International Blogger Award Presentation Ceremony at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) tonight.
“It is only speculation, everything depends on the Prime Minister,” said Yen Yen when asked to comment on a report by Sin Chew Daily on Saturday that she has been left out of the list.
The report stated that Yen Yen was not included in the list of candidates following the leadership crisis and the loss of popularity amongst the Chinese voters.
She also stated that it was still early to determine if she had been included or not for the upcoming GE.
Yen Yen was the only female candidate who gained the highest votes for the MCA Vice President position during the party election in 2010.
